What electronics need fans?

Inside the Kit of Parts we received multiple cooling fans. What our team is wondering is what electronics or motors need these cooling fans? Do the CIM motors need a cooling fan? Or does the electronics board need a cooling fan directed on it? Or possibly the cRIO?

Thanks in advance! =)

What KOP electronics need the fans? Probably none. (Jaguars have their own built-in; same for Victors.)

The fans are in case you discover that you need cooling somewhere and decide to run air over that area.

Re: What electronics need fans?

I think the most likely application for fans is if the motors are overworked.

If you're using the small 500-series motors, you could possibly use them to aid in cooling them and extend their useful life.
