Tooling recommendations
Hi folks,
I'm tooling up for the competition, and for the high school students, due to liability reasons we really can't let them loose in the machine shop with the vertical bandsaw and other big power tools. Also due to our limited budget, it looks like hand tools are the most affordable way to go. That said, what are people's recommendations for hacksaw blades to cut extruded (Bosch) aluminum profiles? I was thinking maybe a 24 tpi blade, does anyone have any recommendations? -=- Terence |

Hacksaws are bad
get some carbide cutting discs for a drill and let them use that. Drills are pretty standard, and you can even have them make one if you want. Hacksaws are just plain annoying to use.
