I've seen other sites do it -- thought it'd be interesting enough to post...

Attached is a summary of the website statistics (minus Jan 2002).

75015 new posts in 2002.
9010 new threads in 2002.
1584 members joined in 2002.
240 polls were posted in 2002.
276 pictures were uploaded in 2002.
57 white papers were uploaded in 2002.

What happened in May, and June 2002?

The numbers are pretty high, there is quite a bit of activity for the off-season as well. CheifDelphi has been a great place to go a chat, so it is no wonder why it is so high!

Off season .. and we may have moved servers in the middle of one of those months and lost log files -- dont really remember to tell you the truth..

it appears you fixed the huge summer peak when you archived all the old forums in....i remember it took us a pretty decent time to figure out why there was so much activity then

That graph won't show the huge summer peak. I did all that on the database side, which wouldn't affect the hits or bandwidth.

I'll tell you what happened in May and June, it's called sleep, and lots of it!!!!!

I think those numbers are fairly close, it was pretty dead during those months...

By the way, what ever happened to all the old stats graphs. I know stats moved to inside the "extras" area, but I can't find the graphs anywhere (new threads, new members, etc).

Our new server doesn't have the GD libraries required to draw the graphs. I'm too lazy to recompile php w/ GD libraries -- so they went bye-bye.

Actually, I recompiled PHP yesterday, but forgot GD libraries. Oops. I don't want to risk recompiling again, and messing it up, the day before kickoff.

Those stats were way off anyway, they're merely there for amusement, or something
