So out team has recently found out that one of the industrial belts we are using is in fact too large. With slight design change, the belts must be 20" shorter (a real pain). Does anyone have any good tips or suggestions?

Re: Belt Shortening Tips
Is there enough space to add idlers? If not, then your best bet is to buy a new belt. Once you cut a belt, you cut not only the exterior surface, but also the interior wires, and whether they're made of Kevlar, steel, or anything else, you seriously reduce the strength of the belt.
