Error after formatting a laptop with the FRC flashdrive

I have formatted a laptop which was running windows 7 on it using the FRC flashdrive and I get this error :

C:\Windows\winSxS\x86_ microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595 b64144ccf1df_6.0.7601.17514_none_41e6975e2bd6f2b2\ ComcTL32.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

Does anyone know what to do?

Thank you for your help.

Re: Error after formatting a laptop with the FRC flashdrive

The E09 and E11 USB flash drives are intended only for the E09 and E11 Classmate PC. As you have discovered, they do not work to install Windows on other hardware.

What you should do now is reinstall Windows on your laptop using the original Windows media that came with it.

Ok thank you for your response, but problem is that we get the same error when we try to format our classmate.
Is there any solution to the problem for the classmate?

Re: Error after formatting a laptop with the FRC flashdrive

What is your FRC stick labeled as (E09 or E11)?

Which Classmate do you have (E09 or E11) or what year did your team receive it?

It might be a mismatched stick/Classmate. Teams around here have encountered the problem of having been given the wrong stick for their generation of Classmate..
