Re: Team 2530 "Inconceivable" -- Rolling robot
What is that material? looks like wood or plastic. Don't feel bad, we aren't even driving yet, (fitting electronics struggle)

Re: Team 2530 "Inconceivable" -- Rolling robot
Not at all-- our shooter has been proven to be very effective to the top basket. Not all parts are shown :-)

Re: Team 2530 "Inconceivable" -- Rolling robot
Looks great, can't wait to see it in person. We're behind too, we just got the rolling chassis done today and have to chain everything together and test it out. Next week is going to be crazy. I'll have to see about getting a picture of ours up here sometime soon.

Wow the paint job is bright in that video.
Robot as shown in video is 75 pounds (not including battery). |

Re: Team 2530 "Inconceivable" -- Rolling robot
I see belt driven meccanums, and a compressor. I'm intrigued as to what the compressor actuates, but if it follows the model of other teams, I would hazard a guess as to it being for some sort of bridge manipulation.

I think it will have something to do with controlling the ball feed to the shooter. If nothing else, with 45 pounds to play with at this point, it's good ballast ![]() |

Re: Team 2530 "Inconceivable" -- Rolling robot
The back of the tower (the black part) looks like it's adjustable. Is this to vary the amount of ball compression? If so, do you plan on doing it on the fly, or between matches?

Re: Team 2530 "Inconceivable" -- Rolling robot
That's the part the pneumatics is supposed to move to feed balls to the shooter. When it's pulled in the balls are compressed against the belt that is not there yet, and they feed up. At least that's the theory, I hope to see if it works tonight....
