Windows 7 Activation

Do they give you the activation key to windows for the 2011 image or do we have to go and buy a key?

The key is built into the image. You don't need to buy anything, all you need to do is activate it.

All of a sudden our FIRST computer, for our rookie team, started asking for a Window's password. Which we did not set up and now can't get passed it. Any suggestions? Please advise.

Find out what joker put a password on it and scold him for his mischief.

If you can't find out what the password is, you could always reload the Classmate from the USB flash drive and get a fresh start. This will totally erase everything before putting Windows and the Driver Station back, so don't do that if you have important files or programs stored on it.

do an over the phone activation with microsoft. Thats what we did and it works perfectly
