Re: pic: Robot 2012

My assumption is that shooter part comes down, collects balls, and then goes back up to shoot. Functions a lot like 179's robot (not accusing you of copying, just making a comparison). I like the design!

How big are the wheels in the rear?

Re: pic: Robot 2012

That's exactly how it works. Also, the wheels are 12'' in the back to get over the hump.

1716 will be attending the Wisconsin Regional (in Milwaukee) as well. I'm excited to see this design in action! How tedious is it to pick up balls with a narrow intake mechanism like that?

Re: pic: Robot 2012

we're not entirely sure yet but with the gaer box once the magazine is full we should be able to go to shooting position in less than 2 sec.

Re: pic: Robot 2012

Very intriguing design! Having a shooter that doubles as a ball acquisition device is an interesting move and also saves weight. We probably wont be seeing you guys in competition (we're from NJ), but I wish you good luck!

Would you consider using pneumatic pistons to raise and lower the cannon? might be more effective.
