Which motor to use for the vaccum? (ball gripper)

Our robot is almost done but we are having a trouble deciding on which motor and material to use for the ball gripper. (You know the spinning vaccum like design? I don't know the name )
So far we tried window motor with zip tie strings (i opposed on the window motor) and fisherprice without gearbox with the surgical tubing (purely because of there was no suitable gearbox). fisherprice was just a fail and window motor was way too slow. Plastic gearbox provided for fisherprice is just way too big and ahh... any ideas?
