We used the 2012 FP motor and the first gear out of the 2006-2009(?) FP gearbox, with a custom shaft made in a lathe by turning 3/8" aluminum hex bar round on the ends to fit into 3/8" ID bearings. We were aiming for about one second ball travel from the floor to the top of the robot, and the chain reduction slows it down enough so that it does that.
The gearbox was made using a drill press and a 7/8" Forstner drill bit. |

We are using 2 window motors for the 1 belt that will convey it upwards.
To get the ball in it, we drive over the ball and the pressure between a board and the belt begin the lift. |

This is the first year that we are seriously using the 500 series motors. A FP for the intake. We two conveyors to hold 2 balls each driven by 550. The turret rotated by window motor. Feeder rollers for the shooter driven by 550. Shooter wheel spun by rs775v18.
Back to the subject of this thread for the intake roller. We are planning to use the kop Fisher Price motor on a BaneBot 60 4:1 tran. Using the shaft as a pulley with cold shrink. A vacuum cleaner belt to an Al tube with cold shrink. Overall ratio 7.1;1. After seeing what some on this thread have done with the fp plastic gear boxes, I plan to experiment with them in the future. Thanks |

I have a feeling these will be fairly common this year as it is, I regret not having a picture of ours, but be warned, it is significantly more powerful than the two already posted.
