How many jaguars are we allowed to use?

Help!

We are currently using four jaguars but we want to use more.

How many jaguars are we allowed to use? Are there restrictions on which part of the robot we use each respective jaguar for?

Thank you!

All I can say is that the motor limit is 22.

A Jaguar costs $119 at Andymark, so per R13 you can include 29 of them (in addition to the ones in the KoP). However, you might have trouble finding a place to plug them all in!

PS. Use as many Jags as you need, and use them for any motor you need to power - there are no specific restrictions!

Re: How many jaguars are we allowed to use?

How many Jaguars can fit into a 28" by 38" by 60" volume, leaving room for the rest of the control system?

How many Victors can fit into that volume?

Now, the fun part: what is the maximum number of Jaguars and Victors combined that you can fit in your budget?

Hey, you didn't say they had to be used for anything!

Re: How many jaguars are we allowed to use?

Oh wait, we should leave room for the rest of the control system?

Our robot consists of tons of Jaguars that are just duct taped together... This might not end so well.

You will eventually fill up the PD board. Per the rules all Jags must connect to the PD board. So you are not allowed unconnected Jags.

Actually, it's the DSC they have to be connected to ([R60]), and Y-cables aren't restricted in quantity... Or you could just CAN them together. PD board, nuthin'. (Well, unless they're actually controlling a motor. Then they have to get power from the PD board.)
