Question PS3 Controller Configuration?

Hope this season has been going well for everybody!

We are struggling with the configuration of the PS3 controller in LabVIEW. Can anyone help us with setting up a PS3 controller, give us some kind of instruction from A-Z: from how to set it up with the DriverStation to mapping out all the buttons and axes?

Re: PS3 Controller Configuration?

In Teleop, Create -> Indicator for both the Axes and Buttons from any joystick you have in there. You'll just be borrowing it temporarily for a test.

Plug in the PS3 and user the Driver Station Setup Tab to move it to the joystick USB you borrowed in Teleop.

Run the LabVIEW project in debug from Robot Main.vi.

Enable the robot from the Driver Station.

Go to the Teleop front panel and watch the Axes & Buttons indicators as you manipulate each joystick and button on the PS3.

Re: PS3 Controller Configuration?

Thank you! But can you explain it a little more detailed how to map the buttons and axes? I'm a little lost on this subject since it's the first year we are doing something like this.

Re: PS3 Controller Configuration?

You can also right click the controller while under devices and printers go to game controller settings and click properties you can calibrate and see which buttons are where here
