Volt Reading Issue

Team 4377 is having difficulties with our voltage reading in the Driver Station. We have everything set up correctly and complying with [R64], but we keep getting the wrong voltage reading in the DS. Instead of reading correctly, we always have a voltage reading of 5.06 and 5.07. What exactly is our problem?

Re: Volt Reading Issue

It is possible that you have a depleted battery. If you have the required wires from a dedicated output of the PD to the +12 volt input on the analog sidecar (attached to the top of the analog module in position 1 of the Crio) and the jumper is installed in the correct position on that module then the dashboard reads the battery voltage. If the voltage is actually 5 volts then the Crio should disable all outputs.

Re: Volt Reading Issue

We do not have a depleted battery. We will check our battery voltage and get a reading of about 11.5-14. Could it be possible that our Analog Breakout is faulty?

Re: Volt Reading Issue

After going through several tests, we have solved our problem and concluded that we do in fact have a faulty Analog Breakout.

Re: Volt Reading Issue

Any thoughts on how it failed? (makes for easier troubleshooting)

Re: Volt Reading Issue

We think that we must have received a defective breaker. It never worked properly since we attached it.

Re: Volt Reading Issue

Squeaky,
Are you referring to the power supply on the breakout?

Re: Volt Reading Issue

I'm referring to the Analog Breakout itself. Sorry if I worded things wrong.
