noisy thoughbox mini

we get really bad noise from our toughbox mini at the beggining of the driving and on the bridge.. seems like its noisy when its under pressure.. enyone got something like this and can help us? thanks!

Also try running it in for an hour with no load, at least 30 minutes in each direction, at full speed. Monitor the temperature.

In the original toughbox, the gears have 'sides' - there is a small bump out on the hub of the gears, which acts as a spacer to keep the teeth away from the housing. Make sure your gears are put in correctly.

We had the same problem. It's from the pinion and we aren't sure what exactly causes it but we think it's from a defect in the gear alignment. But nonetheless, we have used it since the beginning of build season and see no wear or tear and ours is greased. I would let it go.

Another thing I've noticed is the there is a bearing race just under the edge of the CIM which causes the CIM to not seat quite right. If your bearing is protruding out farther than normal, you may have more tip in the CIM.
