Team 3633: It's Not A Wheel Shooter

I don't have access to most of our footage right now so I slapped this video together for a deadline in broadcasting class.

The Ball Ejection Catapult is no generic wheel shooter. It's got the power to hit threes and finess to come down slowly. It can pick up three balls in the ball picker-upper and has 4 CIM kitbot drive. In addition, the bridge tipper is powered by two window motors and can hold the bridge down for itself to drive on and hold the bridge up for a robot on the other side to climb on. It can hold 180 lbs up on the bridge.

Congrats, looks like a solid and consistent shooter with a unique design. Props for thinking outside of the norm!

The real reason we chose it was because we don't have any gearboxes for wheel shooters. An interesting story we have: on Saturday we set up the field and played with Alden's team, and as we were packing up the "finger" on our catapult broke clear off. That morning we went into the scrap Lexan pile (the only team that uses more is 1714) and we made the catcher.

The air tanks on the robot are hidden on the underside as well.

The U-bolts on the robot aid in lifting. Last year, using them, we had humans replace the job of carts.

And thanks to K-Botics for the reversible bumper templates. Last year's were a pain and these change in 30 seconds.

Good job on the handles. Where'd you get them? I'd like to get a set for ours.
