I like how the drivetrain isn't revealed by the picture... I wonder if there is swerve behind the smoke?

My guess is that it moves the roller belts in and out, so that the balls can que at the bottom of the conveyor. When they are ready to shoot they engage the cylinder which move the belt closer and the balls get loaded into the shooter.

It looks like they're doing like many other teams and having something fold down to help collect balls if I'm seeing it right. If you look really closely you will find the bumpers are at the very bottom of the picture and the mechanism on the front is completely within the frame perimeter.

I'm guessing their 2004 drive train's principle of adjustable height with a twist that will leave our jaw on the floor.

I agree the "cage" like thing is within the frame perimeter. I was referring to what is in the very bottom left corner of the first picture. It looks like you can see some of their orange belt sticking out from the bumpers.
