Using the AxisCamera to track rectangles around hoops.

Are there any examples of code for this floating around, or would someone point me in the right direction. I'm extremely lost here.

What we are trying to do is have our AxisCamera track the rectangles on the hoops, and adjust the robot accordingly.
I haven't found anything about this in the library, and any subject that I have found about this are for Java.

If you haven't done it already, you may want to look through the white paper. Scroll down the page to the white papers section.

Try the 2010 Vision Demo. Pull the trigger on Joystick 1 and watch it turn and correct. You might want to adjust the turns to be tighter and remember to release the trigger before you crash into someone/something/wall.

Isn't that code tracking circles (ellipse) instead of rectangle?

That seems to be the 2010 white paper. The 2012 one is on CD/media/papers, on FirstForge in Documents, and on NI site at https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-20173.

Re: Using the AxisCamera to track rectangles around hoops.

Can someone help us with taking the X,Y and Z quadrants of the squares and have it tell the shooter how far to rotate and how fast to spin in order to hit the hoops. If any one could help us it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Using the AxisCamera to track rectangles around hoops.

If you explain what you mean by "X, Y, and Z quadrants of the squares" I'm sure someone will have useful suggestions.

Update the WPILibrary if you haven't, on 2 February, they added sample 2012 vision code and the code necessary to perform the functions listed in the whitepaper.

Do you have a link for this update. I seem to always get lost with all the different pages on the NI website. Thanks
