Re: Color Of LED's On Camera
We used the green ring light from first choice. Green is nice because the timers are red and there are red, blue, and white effects lights in the arena at some venues. UV LEDs would look cool, but depending on the wavelength the camera might not pick it up and it could be a safety concern.

Re: Color Of LED's On Camera
We used orange, which ends up being very close to white lights.

Re: Color Of LED's On Camera
We used a RGB LED ring.
It can be any color. It is essentially a ring shaped bright pixel. We made a simple transistor based driver board for it, and controlling it with the PWM from the digital sidecar's IO pins (not the PWM pins that control victors and Jags.) We are experimenting with the software automatically change colors (and thresholds) based on camera distance [we have noticed that some colors have an effective range, and when outside it they don't work as well]. |

Re: Color Of LED's On Camera
We used Green. We discovered that our Red LED Ring that was suggested in the whitepaper about target tracking this season weren't bright enough to distinguish targets, so we bought some individual ones and made a ring out of that.
