Go to Post What I learned from week-1 is that once again my son has been inspired to the level that he came home after the BAE Systems Granite State FIRST Robotics Regional Competition with the biggest smile I have seen on his face for a long long time. I am truly grateful for that. - FIRST_Parent [more]

Re: Matching Drive Team Glasses

Those aren't even safety rated. And they're $100.

Quote:
Wear ANSI-approved, UL Listed, or CSA rated non-shaded safety glasses. Lightly
tinted Rose, Blue, Amber tints are FIRST approved, but reflective lenses are not
(eyes must be clearly visible to others).

Wear non-shaded, ANSI-approved, UL-Listed, or CSA rated eye protection in the following
areas:
• When doing any work on the robot including, grinding, drilling, soldering, cutting,
welding, etc.
• At FIRST events:
• Anywhere in the pit area, including walk ways and pit stations
• On the Playing Field
• On the Practice Field
• Any area posted with signs requiring the use of eye protection
From the FIRST safety manual.
