What is [FL]? I tried the regional website live stream link which opened Windows MediaPlayer which then gave me an error message. I followed the help link in the error messege which talked about a possible missing codec. Is that possible and does anyone know where to find it?

[FL] is Orlando Regional. On MadStream, I don't use Windows MediaPlayer for any regional except for the WPI Regional (because the non WMV workaround isn't working 100% correctly for WPI for some reason). Are you talking about the Orlando Regional or WPI Regional?

Re: 2012 Orlando Regional!

All I can say is wow. The Orlando Regional never ceases to amaze me. We had a great time this weekend, after we finished installing all of the upgrades to our bot that we made of course lol. We have a lot of teams to thank so i might as well get started now.

Team 801 (aka thing one)- Thank you so much for all of your help this season. I do not regret making twins one bit. Or strengths and weakness played off each other so well. Were we excelled you lacked and visa versa. Its was as if it was meant to be. Look out boca here we come =)

Team 86- You played defense like no other robot I have seen before. Numerous times you completely shut down teams and after the first match you balanced every single time give our team just what we needed to put us over the top. Thank you so much for all of your help. It was great playing with you guys.

Team 233- You guys have more magic than any other FRC team I have ever seen. Every year your team pulls it together just in time for the elemins and instantly you instantly become a force to be reckoned with. Thanks for picking us and we hope to be on the same side of the glass as you in Saint Louis because if there is one thing I know about pink it is that they are only going to get better.

Re: 2012 Orlando Regional!

This Orlando regional was an excellent event as always. I would like to congratulate 1592,233, and 86 on the win, all three of you are great teams. Thank you to all the volunteers who make the event happen. Finally, it was fun to play in eliminations with 25 and 179 again. Good luck to everyone on their next events, and we will see you again at South Florida.

Re: 2012 Orlando Regional!

The Orlando Regional is always like a class reunion for me. I love getting to see old friends and make new ones. I enjoyed getting to know the Thunder Down Under and getting hugs from 103 all the way to the 3000's

Thanks everyone for being so patient at the Bacon Bash. We learned a few lessons (make sure you have plates) and will improve it for next year.

This is a story the Orlando Sentinel did on the competition;

One of you smart people can make it into a link to share.

Can't wait for Boca!!!!

Re: 2012 Orlando Regional!

I had so much fun volunteering at the Orlando Regional I decided to volunteer at Boca, too. Thanks for taking a New England girl and showing her how awesome Florida FIRST is!

Also, congrats to Pink on chairmans. Watching your video about the police robot was truly inspiring.

Team 342 would like to thank team 2383 for their selection for us in the finals at Orlando. We put up a hard fight and almost beat the top seed. Great Job 2383 and 945 we will definitely bring home the gold next year.

As a fellow transplant I agree with this sentiment. Though I won't be volunteering at Boca I will be there as a mentor.

Had a blast in Orlando this past week. One of the smoothest events that I can remember, we where ahead of schedule for a good amount of time. Congrats to all the teams this year.

I was so proud watching my sister taking over the driver controls from me since I graduated last year. She was a monster on defense - I don't even think I could have managed that, and it was just awesome to watch. Right now, she's 1/1 to my 1/3 haha

Re: 2012 Orlando Regional!

It has been a long road for SPAM to make the transition from defense-defense-defense! to an offense oriented team. To seed #1 in Orlando was a huge achievement for us when I consider the competition that Orlando offers up every year. I am proud of our alliance with Shark Attack (consistantly a good shooter and balancer in every Qual match) and Get Smart (high in our effective scoring ranks). With a rookie driver on the chassis and a cool veteran ball handler we built our alliance chemistry, on the field, game-by-game. Then we faced the finals challenge; all of them good friends and super competitors: PINK – the team that just wins – Bionic Tigers – holding the highest effective scoring rating in our data base – and Resistance – the wily veterans.

The goal shooting was intense and balancing would make the difference. In the end, they won it against our best efforts. Congratulations to 233, 1592 and 86 for being the best at Orlando!

Also, a shout out to the Orlando Regional organizers and volunteers. YOU make Orlando a great regional to attend.

In 2 and a half weeks, many of us will meet again at FAU. We will be doing all we can to make ourselves even better. You will too.

Be ready to (Rebound) and Rumble!

Eric
