Driver Station not picking up Kinect

We have the kinect hooked up to an older FRC cRIO robot, and the driverstation (or any other software from the Kinect SDK) is not interfacing with the kinect?

any ideas

Re: Driver Station not picking up Kinect

Is the Kinect connected to the robot or to the DS computer?

If you are using the 2012 Control System, you should be able to launch the DS and Dashboard, plug in the Kinect, and see the skeleton on the dashboard tab. If that works, then the data is being sent to the robot. There is a bug related to enhanced I/O on the Cypress board and not having the board plugged in. Either turn off the enhanced mode or make sure the board is plugged in.

If the dashboard doesn't work, check out the Diagnostics tab, possibly relaunch the Kinect Server.

If that doesn't work, make sure the DS is not running and try out the MS Kinect examples.

Please post what works and what doesn't.

The Kinect is on the DS (classmate) and we've tried all of those things (except the cypress since we aren't using it)

If you aren't using it, make sure the I/O tab is not set to Extended. If it is, click the Configure... button and change it to Compatible.
