Coopertition Award

I was wondering how the Coopertition Award winner was determined. I was at the LA Regional and the winner was a team with 4 Coopertition points when there were two teams with 10 points. Is there a reason neither of those teams got the award. It was my understanding that the Coopertition Award was based solely on the number of Coopertition points. The FIRST website described the award as:
CoopertitionTM Award
The CoopertitionTM Award celebrates the team that best demonstrates the ability to help their opponents compete. The award will be granted to the team that earns the most Coopertition Bonus points during the competition.

That has to be one of my favorite parts of the competition! The team competed once, and cooperated that match, and just happened to win the match as well. So technically, the team won 100% of it's matches, and cooperated in 100% of them as well!

Don't ya just love how things turn out sometimes?

Re: Coopertition Award

For all the effort in promoting coopertition, there should be the seeding scores showing up on the match scoring screen. Right after foul points, there is plenty of room to put the seeding or coopertition scores at the end of each match. We are not only what we celebrate, but also what we note.
