The balls in Quals all had varying levels of ball squishiness ranging from really squishy to WTF squishy. Ironically the first 2 balls we were handed in Elims were as almost as hard as actual basketballs.

All balls at the beginning of Qualifications were brand new. They were then replaced as needed when large cuts were discovered or chunks were missing. They were all replaced again before Eliminations. Your first QF match was only the 4th time that set of balls had been used.
