Peachtree Regional Judge / Super Soaker Inventor

Lonnie Johnson is one of the many extraordinary First Robotics Judges and is also a FRC Executive Advisory Board member.

Lonnie is always a favorite judge of the students competing in FRC at The Peachtree Regional and I believe The Championships.

Here is a 5 minute video in Lonnie's own words, about one of his many inventions, The Super Soaker, the world's most powerful and popular squirt gun. Lonnie is now also inventing Nerf Guns. He spoke to the students on Saturday afternoon March 17, 2012. He also had a little interaction with other judges and the team announcer as you'll see in the video.

Take 5 minutes and enjoy in 240-1080p, what we get to enjoy seeing year after year at Peachtree. We have fantastic judges and Lonnie is but one of them.

Re: Peachtree Regional Judge / Super Soaker Inventor

Thanks for the reminder that our judges are all amazing folks who truly change the world. My childhood summers would have been much different without the Super Soaker. Some fella said "we get what we celebrate" - Lonnie Johnson should certainly be celebrated.
To think the students on the FIRST teams inspire incredible innovators like Mr. Johnson - well, that makes me proud beyond words.
