How many spots are still available? The FIRST website and Blue Alliance have different numbers of registered teams...

The FIRST website is the up-to-date version. We are at 53, but I just got word we may be at 54 with a last minute addition. We can fit 60, so if you are interested in coming I know FIRST will let you sign up. You will need to call Team Support to do it.

Looks like it is up to 55 now...two of our Indianapolis Rookie teams (4211 and 4234) are headed over now! 4211 was the 8th seed at BMR.

On the event website, it says for the Team Social, "More Information to Follow." Are there plans for a party Thursday or Friday night?

Re: 2012 Queen City FRC Regional

I heard a rumor it might be Blair. He does many of the new events.

234 is not competing, but I plan to be there Friday and Saturday. Looking forward to seeing lots of great action!

Re: 2012 Queen City FRC Regional

We do not have a team social planned for the event. The team information document I emailed to all the team main and alternate contacts had some wonderful places for teams to go if they wanted to go out on Thursday or Friday.

Blair is MCing our event and we will have an MC in training (I think).

JonDarr Bradshaw from the Buckeye Regional will be coming down to announce at our event.

Re: 2012 Queen City FRC Regional

This event is really shaping up to be an awesome experience. Yes the Blair AND JonDarr dynamic duo will be our MC and game announcer, an incredible line-up of both veteran and rookie teams, an in-expensive offer ($10 per ticket) from the Cincinnati Reds for the 7pm Saturday night game vs. the Marlins and tons of FIRST fun!

Re: 2012 Queen City FRC Regional

looks like we got confirmation that we're officially signed up and ready to go for Queen City this morning! This is the first year we'll be participating in a second regional and we're hoping to improve on (or at least stay on par with) our great performance at Wisconsin in week 4. looking forward to meeting a (mostly) new set of teams and joining a good portion of you on the coopertition bridge! best of luck to everyone!

PARTs is excited about coming to Cincinnati. It is great to have another regional close to home. Are we going to have a practice field at the event?
