They are leading, but just by a tiny margin. The air in the building was "electric" with the tension as this unfolded. Tomorrow will be very interesting.

Congratulations to Roger Balech of 3161 for winning the Woody Flowers Finalist award today. Couldn't got to a more deserving guy!

Are you sure about that?
3161, 1114, and 1503 are all tied with a Qualification Score of 26.00. All three teams have 2 more matches to play tomorrow. 1114 will not play any of these two teams. 1503 and 3161 will be on the same alliance for their first match of the day.

1114 will only be facing one team tomorrow that is ranked inside the top 10.

My guess is that 1114 will win their two matches and 3161 will win at least one of the two. It will be up to the coopertition bridge.

Just an observation if 1114 does not alliance with 2056 by one of are members who have been watching comps since he was in kindergarten. So far his observations have been pretty accurate.

Re: 2012 Waterloo Regional

OPRNet is saying that 1114 will win its first match 38-14, but lose its second match 30-29. So they might have a bit of a battle.

3161 is predicted to win 50-25 and win 39-37. So both teams have matches that, at least by OPR, are going to be quite challenging to win.

1503 is predicted to win easily with 50-25 and win 29-12. So if we assume that that means two easy matches and all 1114, 3161, and 1503 will get maximum CPs, then it looks like 1503 may actually have the best chance of seeding on top because of the relative easiness of their remaining schedule. However, because of their relatively low hybrid points, they'll need both 3161 and 1114 to have a bad day hybrid-wise if it comes to a tiebreaker.

Since one of those teams is probably going to go 2-0 tomorrow and get max CPs it seems unlikely that anyone else can get it, but 1310 could nab that top spot if 1114, 3161, and 1503 all miss out on a win or some CPs and 1310 has a perfect day. 1310 is playing in the close match vs 1114, so if 1114 loses that match, it could elevate 1310 into contention. 1310 is projected to have a 29-29 tie and a 30-29 win, so they've got quite a tough schedule but maybe they could grind it out.

I'm not quite sure with what you are saying here. Are you saying that one of your members is observing that 1114 will not be on an alliance with 2056?

Hey everyone, we heard today during one of the matches that video of each match was being posted on YouTube somewhere, but we can't find them. Anyone know where they are?

Can't wait 'till tomorrow, we had a blast today. Good luck to everyone!

Let's hope that this doesn't turn into the Toronto situation, with various teams being put in the awkward position of choosing whether or not to Coop with other teams.

Also, where might I procure this OPRNet? I would love to use it for our teams purposes!

Re: 2012 Waterloo Regional

I love both 1114 and 2056 so I want to be clear I am not rooting against either team, I always root for both. However it would be incredible to see what happens if the two finally get split up for the elimination rounds. Imagine 2056's streak being put to the test in the finals against 1114, the team that helped them get this streak rolling. As a lover of watching matches it wouldn't get much better than that.
