Re: 2012 Northeast Utilities Connecticut Regional
Just finished watching all the match videos of all the robot's coming to Hartford. It's really going to be a quite a battle especially in the elimination rounds with so many quality scorers.
We have some minor changes we are going to implement on Thursday morning and one major one. We are hoping we can put on a better show than we did at NYC. #stinger |

Where did you find match videos for everyone? I've been scouring the interwebs for match videos of our robot. I agree that this will be a very intense regional! |

Re: 2012 Northeast Utilities Connecticut Regional
Well I meant video of those teams that have videos online. I basically just went through tba and browsed youtube for a bit. All the WPI teams have 1 or 2 matches on tba.

Re: 2012 Northeast Utilities Connecticut Regional
After some success and frustration at the NYC regional, FRC2168 the Aluminum Falcons are looking forward to making some changes and competing with and against some of the best teams in the country.
Good luck, and see you in a few days. |

Re: 2012 Northeast Utilities Connecticut Regional
Team 694 will be launching an initiative aimed at tackling the issue of knowledge disparity among new and old members of FIRST: a weekend-wide “idea drive” known as FIRSTthoughts. We are asking for teams to donate ideas and thoughts that have guided them throughout their team’s history, to be shared with teams in need of such knowledge.
What is FIRSTthoughts? FIRSTthoughts takes the expertise of individual team members and mentors, and shares it with the greater FIRST community in the spirit of gracious professionalism. This project aims to tackle the “wealth gap” in experience and resources between veteran and rookie teams, and make the FIRST experience as valuable as possible for all participants. How does it work? Team members, mentors, and supporters can make a brief, 2-minute video of themselves (or let our handy crew do it for you at select FIRST Regionals) and upload it to YouTube. They can then embed that video on www.FIRSTthoughts.org, where it will be tagged and archived along with the submissions of other participants from around the world. Topics for videos can include anything from a battle plan for fundraising to your team’s nifty trick for fixing leaky pneumatics. Then, when the time comes around when you need the answer to a quick question, or a starting point for your own idea, you can tap into the vast resources of the FIRSTthoughts archives for inspiration. Sample Questions to Answer:
FIRSTthoughts at the Hartford Regional: FIRSTthoughts will have a crew operating at the Northeast Utilities Regional in Hartford, CT from 3/29-3/31. We’ll be visiting team pits, asking for a piece of your team’s experience. Good luck to all -- can't wait for Thursday! Last edited by carrillo694 : 28-03-2012 at 00:29. |

Re: 2012 Northeast Utilities Connecticut Regional
Ahh I can't believe it's almost here!
Max is getting very excited for the event this year. We're just about packed, and our Thursday crew is all prepped and prepared to kick-off the madness that will be going on all weekend.Of course I hope everyone is willing to stop by our pit and have a talk with any of us on the team about our robot, our program, and anything else we do. Also our video team will be filming a new promo video for the Where's Wolcott? Invitational at the event, so if you see someone in a Max shirt with a camera, pull them aside and ask to be a part of it. Lastly make sure to keep an eye out for our Mascott Agua, as he'll be walking around saying hi to our fans and getting everyone excited for the fantastic weekend ahead of us. In preperation for the event, our PR team made a couple video's about the event. First is a message from our Captain Kyle and your's truly about our participation in the upcoming event: http://youtu.be/BN7dP1EejXM Here is a quick video introducing the 2012 MAX Drive Team : http://youtu.be/bZRO1Ya1v1g Lastly we've been working out making a better robot video, although I'm not sure when my video guys will get it done, so for now here's a video of Max X back before Suffield, although I want to warn you, there will be some "interesting" changes taking place on it Thursday morning. http://youtu.be/Mwt9Ljn_Vv8On a personal note, even though I'll be running around crazy all weekend, feel free to pull me aside if you have any questions about the team, our robot, or anything as crazy as what's my favorite color. ![]() |
