Congratulations to teams 842, 610, and 1212 for their regional win, 2486 for their RCA, 3158 for their Engineering Inspiration awards, and 4146 for the Rookie All-star award.

Special shout-out to team 610 for representing Canada down south

Team 2134 (I should just say "I") would like to thank team teams 1165 (Team Paradise) and 3785 (Gila Monsters) for being our alliance partners in the elimination rounds. It was great fun!

I would personally like to thank team 1164 (Project Neo) for giving us a valid solution to our control system problem which plagued us in our second day of qualifiers.

After many technical troubles last year, our team moral was boosted by this years success, and we eagerly await next year's challenge! (How many days till that game hint?)

2134, Corona should be proud, and moral should be boosted, your shooter was great, I always cheer for the AzTecs as it was my alma mater and I am very glad they have a team now, as they did not when I went there. Again, your shooter was really cool, made it to finals, you should be proud!

Re: 2012 FRC Arizona Regional

We had a totally awesome time. Thank you to all teams for making our first event ever so incredible! It was such an honor to play on the same field as 610, 842, and 1212. Those last three matches were probably the most fun half hour of my life so far. I can't imagine having a more exciting match.

Thank you so much to the Cobras and Coconuts for choosing us to be on your alliance. I was really impressed by our teamwork, and you guys were so much fun to work with. Go CocoCobraCats!

A funny side note:
610 and 842 both inspired parts of our robot.
We originally got the idea for our ball intake arm from 842 in the second week of build season. It was totally crucial to our performance.
610's information on Chief Delphi was crucial to our implementation of CAN, which allowed us to use P.I.D. on our shooter. Without their help we wouldn't have been nearly as accurate.

One more side note:
I remember reading the WIRED article "La Vida Robot" when I was in fifth grade. Hearing about the beginnings of 842 was truly inspirational and has really stuck with me through the years. After following you guys for so long it was crazy for me to play with you. Thank you for all that you have done for FIRST in Arizona.

I know that this weekend was life changing for me and many of the members of my team. We are really looking forward to continuing to grow in the future, and are proud to have been a part of the founding of what we hope will be a strong, long-lasting program at our school and in our community.

I am glad that something we posted has helped, that is why we do it. Wish more teams did this to help not only teams that need it but it also raises the level of the competition. Its GP! The NERDS 1726 have done this in the past as well and its helped us!

As far as "La Vida Robot" its crazy playing against someone we inspired when they were in 5th grade, and it also makes me feel old. I am the only member of that team still "competing" in FIRST (at least in a mentor role)
Its utterly fantastic to here about our impact on other people from the people that we impacted. Thank you so much. Any time your on this side of town please stop by and visit. Take care!

PS we will keep posting stuff that we think is cool and might help.

The Bit Buckets had a great time. We knew that we didn't deserve it, but it was quite amusing to see ourselves ranked third at the end of Friday.

I think the end result was as it should have been. The Falcon and Coyote teams are world-class. It was an honor to have lost our only matches to them.

And exhausting, it was hard getting up and going back to work Sunday. Plus I had to get all the pesky FIRST parts out of my tool bags and job box.

Re: 2012 FRC Arizona Regional

Wow, wow, wow! Our experience in Arizona was spectacular! I was so impressed with the warmth and hospitality shown to us by all the wonderful Arizona teams. Your enthusiasm is amazing. On Saturday night we just so happened to be at the same restaurant as team 1011. They all got up and stood around our table and gave us a standing ovation! It was a tad overwhelming. There were many more instances where teams stopped by to give us an encouraging word, and just lavish praise on our robot. It really was great to meet so many wonderful people. Arizona has got to be one of the friendliest regionals in First.
The fact that we were able to pull off our first win in 10 years was great, but my lasting impression will be of how wonderful the Arizonan teams are.

Team 842: it was fantastic working with a world class team such as yourselves. We may have ranked number 1, but that was due to some dumb luck on our part. You definitely carried the alliance in the finals. We couldn't have won without you.

Team 1212: thanks for being a great alliance partner. Those bridge points were important!

Team 1011: your enthusiasm and kindness are remarkable. You built one of the most beautiful robots I have seen yet. The turret and shooter is a work of art. Keep up the hard work and I expect big things in your future.

Team 1726: your ability to keep things simple yet effective are inspiring.

Team 4126: this being your rookie year, I'm sure it was overwhelming, but I can see a lot of potential. You team worked well together under pressure. We loved sharing the best pit ever with you.

Team 383: your robot was a mechanical engineering tour de force. Four speed transmission, eight wheel rocker suspension, centrifugal flywheel weights for the shooter... It was quite a treat looking through your CAD assembly.

To all of the people who dropped by our pits to chat and ask about our robot: thanks for your kinds words and curiosity. One of the best things about First is touring the pits and seeing how other teams have tackled the same problem.

Thanks for a great experience. We would love to come back some time.

Thank you to the Coconuts and Sabercats for a great alliance pairing. We were so happy we could pick you both and couldn't of asked for a better partnership.

Team 842, 610, 1212 congrats on winning the regional, we were honored to be able to take it 3 final matches. Your teams are awesome and hopefully we can have a rematch of it again next year. Thank you all again.

Go CocoCobraCats!

Congrats to Fredi and the 842 team on building a fantastic scoring monster. That tele-op point total is only rivaled by 2056. It was really cool to watch 3 balls trail each other in the air and land in the basket. Great job, and hope to see you on Einstein!
