The Duel Down Under

Hi all,

Two and a half years ago, I announced that the first FRC team in Australia (FIRST Team 3132, Thunder Down Under) would be starting for the 2010 season. As many of you know, that started an amazing journey in Australia.

Today, I'm pleased to make a similar announcement, this year we will be holding the first FRC event in Australia--The Duel Down Under! The event will be from the 28th-30th of June with a slightly modified version of Rebound Rumble and will have at least 6 Aussie FRC teams. (Yes, we now have 6 teams!) We've been glad to have the help of both FIRST and AndyMark in the planning of the event and hope that you will join us down under! For more details please visit www.thethunderdownunder.org/dueldownunder

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!

Re: The Duel Down Under

Our team was seriously considering participation in your off-season event.
However, with IRI 2012 in Indiana less than a month later, we wont be able to attend.
But definitely, in the future if the event continues.

I know that things are sometimes upside-down there. But, will the event really start on the 28th and last till the 20th??

I wish I could be there... i hope it is great!!

Re: The Duel Down Under

I hope that Duel Down Under is able to grow and spread across to NZ. There are a lot of clever engineers there. I remember my time living there fondly.

Congratulations for earning a spot in St. Louis!

Phil

The Kauaibots would LOVE to come to your event, but sadly, we can't make it this year. We hope it continues... will it be webcast, by any chance? We missed you guys in Hawaii this year!

Re: The Duel Down Under

Yes, it is going to be webcast. The FTC team (FTC = MAS^Fun) who will be representing Australia in St. Louis has graciously agreed to webcast the event. We will provide more details as the event gets closer.

We missed seeing you this year and hope to see you in either Hawaii or Sydney in 2013!
