Re: 2012 Mid-Atlantic Robotics - Lenape FIRST Robotics District Competition

1647 - One couldn't ask for a better sister team and group of individuals to lead the charge in planning and executing the District event. Before leaving breakdown last night, I told Mr. D and Dr. Jones that no one could do it better. Even with Seneca not being the home of team 2729, it still felt like it!

To all attending teams - Thank you for bringing FIRST to the LRHSD and our community. The best quote from a reporter who had never seen FRC before was, "I can't stop smiling!" That says a lot about the enthusiasm, character, and sportsmanship you all brought. Thank you for helping spread the bug here in Burlington County.

87 and 1640 - You were great partners and it really seemed like we had great chemistry. Of course its tough to not achieve our goals but I think we learned a lot about how our can work with each other. 87, it brought back some fond student and mentoring memories!

365 - You all are a class act While I didn't get to participate much in the stands, I loved seeing the spirit and enthusiasm shared between our two teams over the course of the weekend

Congrats to all of the event winners; 365, 2590, and 816. You were a fun alliance to watch throughout the playoffs.

2590 - It's inspiring to a fellow >2000 team to see that a Chairman's Award can be achieved in such a short amount time. Congrats and good luck at the region championship!

Best of luck to all M.A.R. teams as we look to close out the qualification tournaments this weekend!

Re: 2012 Mid-Atlantic Robotics - Lenape FIRST Robotics District Competition

To add to the goodwill toward 1647 and 2729, you should know that our bus driver on each day (different drivers on both days) came to our event, and quickly invited their husband/fiancee and had a ball at the event. They toured the pits, sat with the students, cheered everyone on, and loved talking with the kids.

Usually when we get onto the bus, the driver asks us how we did. These two days, they told us how amazing a time they had and how they were proud of our students. The attention to detail of the volunteers and hosts was well appreciated (I *LOVED* the pit signs that were colored for each team, it was incredibly thoughtful!!!), and between that and all of the teams in attendance, this is one of the most fun events that *I* have ever been to.

Additionally, I had the honor of sitting with Senator Linda Greenstein to walk her through the game, and even though she had other obligations and couldn't come until late, she was incredibly enthusiastic and positive.

Once again, I cannot say enough good things about this event from my own perspective. Fantastic job!

I haven't really had time to put together my thought and congratulations for the event yet, but one of the parents for our team forwarded this link for a newspaper article about the Lenape event...

Longer post will follow once I've recovered ... maybe June or so ...

Like William, I to haven't really had time to put together my thoughts and congratulations for the event yet. I did want to let everyone know that the team pictures taken during award cerimonies are posted online for anyone who wants to review or take them. There are additional photos that will be available this weekend but the award photos are there now.

They can be found at http://www.mistylens.com/robots

Re: 2012 Mid-Atlantic Robotics - Lenape FIRST Robotics District Competition

Huge congratulations to 1647 and 2729! Even after attending the first two weeks of districts, this event was truly impressive. Fantastic job to you, the MAR Board, and all the volunteers!

To 87 and 2729; thank you so much for selecting us to be a part of your wonderful alliance. I'm sorry we got cut short so quickly, but I am still proud to have played beside you and look forward to hopefully seeing you in Philly. Also my personal thanks to Nate; you are an inspirational guy and an amazing coach to learn from and play beside. Best of luck with Woodie Flowers for Philly!

Congrats again to 365, 2590, and 816 on your win. To MOE especially, we always love being at the same events, even if we didn't get a chance to play together this time. Better luck a Philly, then! Also 2590, you guys were amazing at this event. I didn't really know you before, but trust that you really left an impression at this event. And many congratulations on Chairman's!

Re: 2012 Mid-Atlantic Robotics - Lenape FIRST Robotics District Competition

Sorry this is a little late, but I finally caught up with everything that I needed to before I had enough time to do this, so here it goes...

Firstly, I would like to thank teams 1647 and 2729 and the whole MAR Committee for hosting such a great event!!! It was well run and I have no complaints what so ever... It takes alot of hardwork and dedication to create an event that well organized!!

Next, 2590... WOW!!! I am so happy for you guys Chairman's, Winner, and Website--that is an awesome package!!!

365, 2590, and 816, you guys were an insuperable alliance and proved that in the semis against us!!! 365, you guys evened up the score1-1, so now we go to Temple and settle the score !!!

103- You were high on our list and we were so happy to pick you guys!!! Your robot was amazing and there was nothing I would change about the way we played!! Congrats on the Judges Award as well!!

3974- You guys blew me away... I would have never expected a rookie to be so award winning and competitive. I was surprised you were still available to pick when it came around to our 2nd pick!!!

2191- You guys were so close to winning it all.... You were great and seeing our sister school being the #8 seed and taking down #1 and making it all the way to the finals was amazing... Wish we could've been there with you!!! Hope to see you all at Temple!!!

And finally 1089!!! Thanks, we've come a long way in our short six year history!!

Well, now that our 2 districts are over, Guppy is getting some well deserved rest before the MAR Championship!! I hope to see everyone there!!!
