RS-232 issue
We're using a sensor on our robot that uses the COM port on the cRIO to communicate information. We're having an issue getting any data from the sensor, though. We've used a COM port on a PC with the same cable we're using on the robot successfully. We've also adapted our Labview code to operate successfully on the PC with the sensor.
Does anyone have any ideas? Does the cRIO perhaps have swapped Tx and Rx pins compared to the standard PC pinout? (Not sure if it's considered a DTE or DCE). I did some googling and I'm under the impression that the pinout should be the same as a PC. Thanks in advance |

Re: RS-232 issue
woah, what sensor is this because sensors are usually only DIO or Analog.

Re: RS-232 issue
Make sure to disable the Console Out switch in the cRIo Imaging Tool.

Re: RS-232 issue
Or physically disabled if you have a 8-slot FRC cRIO.
