That was The Dubliner, about 3 blocks (away from the river) from the dome on Washington St. We ate there and I agree, the burgers were excellent.

Indeed it was, thank you! They fed 340 and 1551 dinner with not a ton of heads-up, and did so quickly, efficiently, deliciously, and not too expensively. Twice.

I'd recommend this too, its one of those places I always try to stop whenever visiting St. Louis. Some of the best ice cream I've ever had

Re: Feeding the Team in St. Louis

We also made sack lunches in our hotel every night (organized and run by parents). The team gathered at a specific spot outside the Dome each day and ate as a group. Much easier and cheaper than buying lunch.

There is a grocery store - the Culinaria? - that the parents used on Wed night to get the supplies, which also has free delivery. (It is within walking distance as well).

They may have box lunches available as well, which are not cheap but are convenient.

Re: Feeding the Team in St. Louis

Make note: last year come Friday all the restaurants within walking distance (4-5 blocks) I visited were closed because they ran out of food. Hopefully they had a better heads up this year, but I would differently try to make some "out-of-downtown" plans just in case you get stuck without food.

I heard, from no particular source I can identify, that the nearby businesses had indeed been given adequate warning about the upcoming influx of high school robotics teams. If that's true, it is obvious that most didn't grasp the magnitude of the situation until it was too late.
