scoring clairification for Adam and Clark

Ok, I know you are going to think this a repeat, but i researched it and AdamT and Clark have given conflicting information. Maybe you two could battle it out or something before answering this time , but here's my question:

Does your tallest stack count as your multiplier if you opponent is touching it????

Oh, and a side note, do other boxes (not as a multiplier) count as single points if you are thouching them?
