Granted. You do so well that you win the FRC Championship AND the Chairman's Award. However, after you get home, your brother dies, your mentor's mother dies, and a hurricane destroys your best friend's house, so you forget how happy you were to win.

granted, they wire it up "correctly" so that the wires loose connection when they get hot.

Granted, but eventually you fix all problems, thus making the world boring and gray. Alien explorers come to study the planet but find it uninteresting so they destroy the planet for a highway to the more unknown parts of the galaxy.

Granted. All awkward silences are now immediately broken by even more awkward statements, which in turn causes another awkward silence (which will then, of course, be broken), causing an infinite loop and the world is plagued with a cacophony of awkward speech.

I wish the Leafs would win the Stanley Cup.

Granted, but in all the elation of a Stanley Cup victory, the people of Toronto rise up in revolution. As punishment for the revolt, Toronto is broken up into 12 districts. Each year, every district will tribute 2 people, one male and one female, to partake in a fight to the death. The lone winner will be given riches beyond their wildest dreams, but there will be no Maple Leafs hockey anymore.


I wish FRC fields were easier to assemble.

Granted, but now the easy-to-assembel fields fall apart every time somebody sneezes, collapsing on your head to cause a concussion and make you think you are a hungry bear.
