Re: [FRCTop25.com]- Post-MAR/MSC, Pre-Championship Show!

I'd definitely like to see this match featured on the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rPnc...ature=youtu.be

highest combined score, done without a single triple balance, and 64 points were scored by 1 team alone on the blue alliance.

Also, the Finals Match 1 in the GT West regional should be shown. That was possibly one of the best matches we may have seen this season.

Could we also include Karthik's history lesson? That was pretty darned inspirational.
But I agree with both videos shown. Especially the LSR Semis video because that just kept me on the edge of my seat watching it.

Re: [FRCTop25.com]- Post-MAR/MSC, Pre-Championship Show!

For videos to show, here are a few things I would recommend showing:

3322, 3601, and 862's autonomous in the 3rd finals match at Kettering - The first six ball passing autonomous
2415, 57, and 3997's autonomous in the semifinals at Lonestar - The last six ball passing autonomous
341's 5 ball autonomous
67's 5 ball autonomous (Didn't happen in official competition. A cool video to show anyway.)

Some of the more interesting/exciting triple balances:
148, 922, and 2936's at Alamo - The first triple balance
639, 3003, and 843's at FLR - One of (if not the) first triple balance without aid (no stinger, etc.)
125, 1635, and 522's at NYC - Triple with one robot lifted between the other two
1501, 1756, 4028's at Boilermaker - The stacking triple balance
Finals match at Waterford - The first double triple balance

Other cool moments:
2016, 357, and 708's infamous match from Hatboro-Horsham where 5 balls got stuck in the net
The epic and inspirational match at GTR-West that pitted 1114 against 2056, including Karthik's pre-match introductions
One of the most high profile matches in FRC History, finals at Midwest, 16 and 148, with 2022 vs 111 and 71, with 2151(Can't find much better footage).
The astounding upset in the finals at Queen City, where 45, 781 and 3940 overcame the powerhouse alliance of 48, 1038, and 3193

These are just a few things that come to mind. I'll post more if I come up with anything later.
I hope this helps!

I wish I had the equiptment necessary to do a division segment! Oh well

As far as I know, 67 never pulled this move off in official competition.

Also, you should probably give credit to full alliances for some of these maneuvers. Why is it 125's triple balance? If anything, 522's unique robot was the critical factor there. Why are 357 and 708 not given credit along with 2016 for the ball jam at Hatboro?

One of 6 of the 125/1635/522 triples viewed from our robot's POV.

I totally agree with Sean as well. In our case, it was a total ALLIANCE feat. 1635s incredibly strong drive system and excellent driving skill. 522s very unique feature that we (125) were able to recognize in relation to 1635s geometry and convince our alliance to execute. It took all 3 of our teams on that alliance to accomplish that feat.

That is correct. We have done 4 a handful of times, but never 5 in an actual FRC match.

I'm sorry, you guys are absolutely right. I just used the the most well known team of each alliance because it was an easier shorthand. I didn't mean for it to come out as only crediting those teams, just referencing a team that is easily recognizable was something that seemed logical at the time.

I will correct this ASAP. And my apologies to anyone I offended when I made this huge, rather insensitive oversight. My bad

And thanks for letting me know about 67's autonomous. I thought it was just that I couldn't find usable footage of it, rather than it didn't happen. I'll make sure to research the events more thoroughly in the future.

Thanks again.

Maybe a roundtable discussion of sorts covering different things. sort of like how ESPN does Around the Horn, PTI and First Take. Have a preset list of debatable topics and go for it.

Debate the triple balance? Also what will happen if the scores are changed for the bridges? How about a showcase of robots from different regions like west coast, east coast, south, Midwest, central, etc.

I haven't seen video posted yet of the MAR Championship (sorry if I missed it). Here are links to videos of the two final round matches:

Final Round Match 2

Hopefully I did that correctly.

Since double triples are so rare, it may be useful to have short clips of all three of them (that I know of):

Waterford Finals Match 2
MSC Quarterfinals 1 Match 2
MSC Finals Match 1

Too bad the videos aren't very good...
