Mentor help

Our team is in need of some build team mentors. Most of our current mentors if not all of them do not have a whole lot of experience with building a robot and we need more guidance. If anyone knows anybody available around Phoenix Arizona it would be really helpful.

This year we found ourselves in the same boat. We had to recruit some engineers. We created a WE BUILD ROBOTS BUT WE NEED HELP flier and sent it out to anyone and everyone we could think of that had engineering ties. You can view it here and you are welcome to take what you like from it. Can't say that it brought us in a big wave of engineers, but we did find a couple this year to help us! http://www.bedfordexpress.org/files/...ers-Wanted.pdf

Re: Mentor help

You might see if there is a Honeywell International business in the area. We are mentored by Honeywell here in Kansas City. It looks like there is a company that does Aircraft Turbine Engines at 111 South 34th. They might have engineers interested in helping out. If so, they are eligible for corporate funds to donate to the team. Each one can donate $500 for the first 50 hours of help each year.

Re: Mentor help

While they are not currently engineers, you may check the local colleges and see if there are any FIRST allumni that would help.
