Re: Galileo 2012!
I was kinda hoping we finish what we started in Queen City.
Looking forward to next week. Our first trip to St. Louis and we left Queen City with a much better robot. If anyone needs anything while out there, stop by 1038's pit and we can help. Good Luck all!! |

Re: Galileo 2012!
I Love this division already! No body has a Clue of who will win. I know theirs those teams that are gonna be up there, but there is so many great robots every alliance in the Elimination Rounds will have to work EXTREMELY hard to keep winning. WE CANT WAIT TO GET THERE!!!!!

Re: Galileo 2012!
Please help out with a Wide / Long list. This would be very helpful info for scouts to have before competition even begins. I've already filled in the teams that I know and will add information as posted.

Re: Galileo 2012!
Clinton, 2169 is wide and 868 is long but not the full 38 inches (I suspect they are around 28x32 or so).

Re: Galileo 2012!
With all the talk about wide and long bots, I almost think it's better to have one long bot to triple balance with. It is way easier to balance two wides and a long bot with a dingus/stinger than it is to balance 3 wide bots using nothing but driving skill. Keeping that in mind, it would be nice to have a list of all the robots that have a triple balance assist mechanism.'
Edit: I don't know very much about what teams have have a triple balance dingus since many probably have added them at competitions, but here's a short list (of robots that I know for sure have a dingus) that people can add on to: 25, 33, 148, 2054, 2337, 3322. 1718 has brakes on their train that stop robots from sliding around on the bridge; this turned out to be very useful for triple balancing at MSC. Wow, I don't even know if fellow Michigan teams like 1918 and 573 have these devices. Please add on to this list! Last edited by JABot67 : 19-04-2012 at 12:27. |

Re: Galileo 2012!
We technically are long, but we are only about 28X26, so nearly a square.

Re: Galileo 2012!
Feel free to add to the list whatever you want or just say something and I'll edit it into the first list I posted. Stingers is definatly good idea to add. I only ask if you repost the list that you make it the smallest font so the thread is not over-run by giant list of numbers.

Re: Galileo 2012!
1515 is long, but only 30" Long, making us take only 2" more space than a wide robot.
