Of course you CAN triple with two long bots. I've seen it done a few times. However, every time I've seen it, it has been a bit ugly to watch and is slow compared to the best triple balances. I've seen 67 head for the bridge with 17 seconds left and have the triple completed with 8 seconds left on the clock. I guess my point is, while two longs CAN triple (and have), the time advantage for 67 plus a wide body means they can put up one or two more loads of 3-pt shots. That is where the advantage comes from.
