In from Cupertino, so we it's practically the same place, and let me tell you, there are no shortage o tech companies in the area, and several of them are willing to sponsor local teams. I would reach out to parents of students on the team. You'd be surprised at how many of the parents work at companies that can be potential sponsors for your team.
Also, I'd like to second the suggestion for contacting the regional director. Jim Beck is a really cool guy, and I'm sure he'll have suggestions as well.
