CAN distance

I have a encoder connected to the jaguar and when testing i get rpm readings but i was wondering if it is possible to get distance readings from the encoder?

Are you calling the GetSpeed() function of the WPI lib? If so, there is also a GetPosition() function that returns the encoder position. You can derive the distance from it with information such as your gear ratio and wheel diameter.
