Heh, I first read that as "shield the ground wire," but it turns out you're actually saying something useful

I like the idea. What does the end shown interface with? It wouldn't be able to reach signal pins and power/ground pins on the DSC at the same time... (assuming that's 100 pitch housing in the first place) I see now the thread this pertains to. Cool.
