Exclamation I need help ......

I need a little help ....... But I guess you probably already knew that.

Anyway, I requested that FIRST put a link to my parts library on their website and they seem open to the idea but they claim my site causes some problems with Netscape (v4.7) under Win98 (everything seems fine by them when using explorer).

I use NT4.0, Win95, and Win 2000 Pro along with Explorer and haven't experienced any problems. The claim suggests that the site is server intensive and that this is probably the source of the problem. I agree that I'm using alot of server resources since most of the pages are "generated" with scripts that query data tables and I know that refreshes can be a little slow.

So, I would like to get a little feedback from those of you who have visited the site and those of you who are willing to visit. Just click on a couple of libraries and let me know if you get any error messages. I kneed to know what browser and operating system your using.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Only thing I could possible think of that is causing the problem could be the Java...

Personally I dont see a need for it and think your site would be easier for a novice to navigate if it wasnt there. (I do internet training at the local library, and you have no idea how even just not having the little hand cursor for links can blow someones mind)

It also makes saving the files to disk harder. I had to disable the Cad viewer plug in just so I could download them.

So (in my VERY humble opinion) I think the Java should go.

But either way, its a great resource, Team 781's design team thanks you.

Netscape Freeze

Netscape 4.78, WinXP Pro...some pages were getting a Server Error 400 when i Tried accessing them, but when i was able to get one to go through...it loaded the page, then tried to redraw everything, freezing Netscape entirely.

I tryed viewing it with Netscape 4.01.1.2 if returned an "Invalid Code" error then a "fphover" error and then closed the window.

since fphover is your java link class I assume its that.

Try, Try, Again .....

Jordan, Nate

If you be so kind as to try the site again (but only visit the Sprockets Library) , I would appreciate it. I "De-Java'd" the navigator and the sprockets library.

Thanks

No JAVA Here !!!!!

OK,

I trashed all references to the fphover class in all my libraries. It's not as pretty but hopefully It will be more popular with the non-IE crowd.

Non-JAVA enabled browsers should work fine now...... er, I hope.

I'll make it pretty later, the data is what's important.

No problems with netscape 3 + win98.

I personally hate netscape, but I guess there are some people out there that use it.

Heh, I'm at school right now (on a free period ) and were on Mac OS 9.2 and Netscape communicator 4.7 - Anyway, under the library, I'm getting Error 400 (malformed syntax) for the electrical, manufactured, mechanical, playing field, and pneumatic sections. The others load fine. At home on XinXP Pro and IE 6.? (whatever the newest one is) everything loads nicely.
