Joystick and Classmate Dimensions?

Hi CD,

Our team is currently working on a new driverstation design, and were wondering if anyone has the exact dimensions of the Logitech Attack 3 Joystick and the FRC Classmate Laptop (either from online or experimentally)? We have be searching the Internet, but have been unsuccessful in locating them.

If anyone finds the dimensions online, can you please post the link, so we can see where we could have found them?

Thank you!

If time is not too much of an issue for you, I'll be in my build space Wednesday and can take the measurements for you if you want. I'll also ask my CAD capt and see if he knows which library has it.

Re: Joystick and Classmate Dimensions?

if time is an issue: a "big" hole and an even bigger washer do wonders to compensate for inaccuracy in low stress situations (and make it more likely to work for possible future joysticks).

Or removable adhesives. Easier than drilling all kinds of holes, and much less permanent (unless that's what you're going for).

I happen to be the keeper of the robot for the offseason, so I have the control station as well. I can get you the dimensions of the joystick if you still need it (if yes, what do you need? Base/height, or something more specific?). We didn't use the classmate this year though, so I don't have that.

I actually already got all of the dimensions that I needed. Thank you, Rachel, from Team 1912!

The base of the Attack 3 Joystick is a 6.5" x 6.5" square, and at its highest, its 8" tall.

The FRC Classmate Clamshell is 10.5" by 9" and is about 1.5" tall. Since the corners are rounded I took the largest dimension.
