Hands Free Drive Station
Our team as a fun offseason project decided to make our drive station hands free. We took a snare drum harness and put some new steel braces on it. Then made a plexiglass shelf. Finally, we programmed in an xbox controller.
We have video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX0ruRmwVXQ&feature=plcp |

Re: Hands Free Drive Station
Very simple, but effective. Great job, and it all looks nice.
Now that i see this, our team kinda needs to build something similar. We have a small robot that is equiped with a catapult shooter for shooting candy (we use this during the memorial day parade every year.) we always have trouble holding it. |

Re: Hands Free Drive Station
1625 ran a drum harness in 2011 to let the driver wander as he pleased to see tubes and pegs better, he had a long tether back to the computer. That drum harness is quite handy to have.
