We stacked 14 totes to the ceiling and knocked them over and it actually broke 2 or 3 on the way down from the top. |

WE've had good luck with them so far. We've stacked them and knocked them over repeated times and none have broken... They are also kept in a heated place though, so maybe the temperature does have something to do with it.

I did a flying kick of sorts into a stack of 6 today, sending the crates across the room, none broke..

We haven't had any break here. We were tossing them around trying to get a feel for how hard they were to throw and couldn't break any. I wonder if it is not only the temperature, but the humidity. Also I wonder if the rivets make them more or less easy to break. I imagine they would reinforce them some, but it also means the energy does not have an outlet in the form of the lid popping off. As far as storage between competition, i have the feeling they will pop out the plastic rivets and nest them, and rerivet them as they are needed. The bins take up a massive amount of space with the lids on.

im preety sure people in the colder parts of the country (ie: new england, colorado,. . . ) hae been breaking boxes more frequently then ppl in teh warmer areas(ie: where u wanted to go on vacation to). msut be the cold and lack of humidity. they break almsot too easily. shoulda went w/ rubbermade. . . .

and what would your bones do if they were hit by two robots going 10-15 feet per second on both sides? (sounds grim but hey!) Not much can stand up to that force. These boxes break and pretty easily. If your team doesn't have any yet you really should get a hold of some. They stick to each other better than my team thought but they also break easier than my team thought they would.

I danced on top of it, put heavy gears in it, lived in it for 4 hours (forced designing process), had it thrown against a concrete wall with me in it, stacked up 5 and did a dragon kick....no luck on destroying this pandora's box...

More news. A few days ago, we made the proper pyramid, and we were hitting it as had as we could. Smashing it with boards, running into it head on, shoving rolling trash cans at it, sliding people sitting in spare crates into it. Doing everything we could to abuse the boxes. Out of our 30 some boxes, not a single one broke.
