Space Bar Stop
So, some of our team members were working on our 2012 robot and one member panicked and pressed the space bar to stop the robot. The programmers tried to redeploy the program on the cRio and it would not work. Is there anything we missed? Or, is there any documentation on a fix for after you push the spacebar?

Re: Space Bar Stop
The space bar causes an eStop.
The eStop can only be cleared by rebooting the robot (usually by cycling the robot power). This is how your robot will behave on the playing field if you hit the big red eStop button in the Alliance Station. The robot will not respond again until the power has been cycled. Using the Enter key to Disable the robot is easier. That allows you to reenable the robot without a reboot. Last edited by Mark McLeod : 10-22-2012 at 02:26 PM. |

Re: Space Bar Stop
Okay so the ;
Space bar equals E-stop Enter equals disable so are there any other keys that perform special functions? Example is there an Enable short cut key? |

Re: Space Bar Stop
F1 enables the robot.
And if you are on a field and something happens to a joystick, F1 forces the joysticks to be enumerated again -- be sure you have them centered before doing this. Greg McKaskle |
