Question [OCCRA]: ultrasonic range finder help (unsighned 8-bit integer)

we are looking for the unsigned 8-bit integer with the arrow in the box with it. the regular one we have is just u8. we need the one that has (>u8) (the parenthesis are the box and the arrow the small arrow.) we don't know how to make that or where to find that special form of the unsigned 8-bit integer. please help.

It looks like you posted this in the wrong forum - I believe this is a Labview question. I forwarded it to Jim Dailey, but I think what you are looking for is the Decimal String to Number function.

Re: [OCCRA]: ultrasonic range finder help (unsighned 8-bit integer)

You seem to be describing the first attached picture below.
That's called an Indicator.
How you get that depends on what else you have going on, but in general right-click on a U8 node or wire and select Create->Indicator from the menu.

The Indicator might show up looking like the second picture, but it's the same thing. To turn the second picture into the first or vice versa, just right-click on it and choose View as Icon.

What are you trying to copy or duplicate?
