Re: 2012 Cowtown Throwdown

Do any Driven members know when a rough match schedule would be released? Team 2410 would like to propose that one of our matches, if the other five teams in the match accept, that we be part of what would be considered a "Girl Power match." Sort of a miniature of the Girl Power off season event, where the drive teams, HP included, consist of all girls.

What say you, people of Chief Delphi, particularly those attending CTTD?

Great idea, but 3528 only has 3 girls (out of 15 total members) on our team, so that one might be a little difficult for us to participate in.

We only have 2 girls attending CTTD, so that probably wouldn't work.
Its a cool idea though!

Its a good idea in theory, but it would be putting the 6 teams at a competitive disadvantage if they didn't already have female drive team members. You are essentially forcing teams to use new drivers, while every team not in that match gets their normal* drivers. If the team already had girl drivers, they have an advantage over the other 5 teams in the match.

*maybe they have rookie drivers too, but chances are they would stay consistant throughout the competition

I am so excited to have a robotics competiton at my high school. I can't wait to see you all in about a week. CTTD is my highlight of the offseason. There will be a live stream for those who are unable to make it. Ill post it here by the end of the weekend.

Re: 2012 Cowtown Throwdown

Cowtown is almost here. There will be a few places you will be able to watch the live stream of the event. During the competition it will be on the Home page of the Cow Town ThrowDown. You will be able to access the Ustream Channel as well. The Blue Alliance will also have the feed as well.
I hope everyone is just as excited as I am. The new venue is going to be great.
See you all 5 days.

Re: 2012 Cowtown Throwdown

Since Team 2410 is bringing a smallish contingent of students to the Friday competition, is there any team who would like to share their scouting data for that night? If so then please PM me and we can work out some sort of compromise. Thank you!

Same here? We have a total of 4 people showing up, so there is not much room for safety captain (2 drivers/ 1 driver, 1 robotcoach, 1 HP, 1 safety captain)
