Fisher Price Motors/Gearbox

CD community,

Wondering if anyone has any thoughts about where to find two fisher price motor/gearboxes? I have been looking online and failing to come up with a good place to find/buy two of them! I am working on a senior design project for school, an autonomous snow plowing robot and we have decided those are the motors we would like to go with. Unfortunately we have not been able to locate two motors and gearboxes yet though. Any thoughts would be great!

Thanks!!

From my research last year all Fisher Price motors and gearbox components can only be purchased by a Fisher Price authorized dealer/repair facilites. If you contact one and explain what you are doing they may re-sell to you. Most of them I contacted would not but I did find one in Indiana, and I forget who we did not end up buying anything, who sounded like they would.

This is just my experience, others may have had different results.

Re: Fisher Price Motors/Gearbox

You could try Peg Perego gearboxes and motors. They are used for the same application, so I would expect them to be similar enough to work. That being said, I guarantee nothing.

Re: Fisher Price Motors/Gearbox

For the motors, AndyMark has some from the 2009/2010 KoP, $15 each on closeout:

As for gearboxes... check with local FIRST teams. I know we have a whole basket full of them from previous years, and would give one up if someone local asked for it. If you want a different gearbox, AndyMark has several designed to work with the FP motors as well.
