I posted in the Hints thread as well, but over on this side I'm seriously wondering why VEX felt the need to release a 3 CIM gearbox. A number of teams have run 3 motors per side in the past. Think 775 + cimulator for the 3rd "cim" on each side.
If you have extra weight and extra motors, no particular reason NOT too
We also indirectly benefit from those rookie teams having well-built and working drivebases. It helps raise the level of performance across the board, making for a better competitive environment.
